The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam, has issued several employment notifications for the recruitment of 1,487 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) posts and 8,230 Graduate Teacher (GT) posts. In line with the new directive from the Government of Assam, all applicants for these positions are required to appear and qualify in the Teachers Eligibility Test cum Recruitment Test (TET).

The TET cum Recruitment Test 2025 has been rescheduled to 19th January 2025, and the admit cards will be available from 3rd January 2025.

How to Download Assam TET Admit Card?

Candidates who have applied online for the Teachers Eligibility Test cum Recruitment Test can download their admit cards by following these steps:

  1. Scroll down to the "Important Web Links" section.
  2. Click on the "TET Admit Card" link.
  3. You will be directed to the official admit card portal.
  4. Enter your required credentials, such as Application Number and Password, and submit.
  5. Your TET Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.
  6. Take a printout of the admit card and bring it to the exam hall.

Important Instructions for Exam Day

  • Candidates must carry a hard copy of the Admit Card along with a photo ID card issued by the Government (Aadhaar card, PAN card, Driving License, Voter-ID Card).
  • Candidates with PwBD status must also carry a certificate from the Competent Authority.
  • Ensure all instructions mentioned on the admit card are followed carefully.

Examination Venues

The examination will be conducted in various districts, including Cachar, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kamrup, Kamrup Metro, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nalbari, and Sonitpur. Candidates will select their preferred examination venue district during the online application process.

Merit List and Selection Criteria

  • Common Question Paper: There will be a common question paper for all vacancies, regardless of subject for Post Graduate Teacher recruitment.
  • Qualified Candidates: The number of qualified candidates will be in the ratio of 1:1 for the vacancies advertised.
  • Merit List: If any vacancies remain unfilled after the publication of the first Merit List, additional Merit Lists may be published (up to 2 more). Separate Merit Lists will be prepared for Post Graduate Teachers, subject-wise.

The Merit List will be created based on the marks secured in the TET cum Recruitment Test for each subject.
