The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially launched the recruitment process for the Junior Assistant posts. Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the official website until January 22, 2025.
This recruitment drive is open to candidates who have successfully cleared the UPSSSC PET 2023 exam. The application window opened on December 23, 2024, and candidates can also make corrections to their applications until January 29, 2025.
Vacancies:
A total of 2,702 Junior Assistant positions are available, including:
- 1,099 unreserved
- 583 for Scheduled Castes
- 64 for Scheduled Tribes
- 718 for Other Backward Classes
- 238 for Economically Weaker Sections
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria before applying:

Age Limit:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 40 years (as of July 1, 2024)
- Relaxations in age are applicable for candidates from reserved categories.

Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Class 12.
- They must also possess the UPSSSC PET 2023 scorecard.
Application Fee:
- General, SC/ST, and PWD candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 25 for the online application.
Exam Pattern:
The UPSSSC Junior Assistant exam will be conducted in a single shift and will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- Each correct answer will earn 1 mark, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
