State Bank of India (SBI) has officially announced the recruitment for 13,735 Junior Associate (Customer Support and Sales) positions in the clerical cadre. The vacancies are available across various SBI branches in India. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online.
Applicants are permitted to apply for vacancies in only one State/UT. Candidates can appear for the exam only once under this recruitment project. It is mandatory for candidates to be proficient (in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the local language of the State/UT they apply for.

Eligibility Criteria for SBI Junior Associate Recruitment

Age Limit: Candidates should be aged between 20 and 28 years as on 01.04.2024, i.e., born between 02.04.1996 and 01.04.2004 (both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualification: Applicants must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification. For those with an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD), the degree must be conferred by 31.12.2024.

Final Year Students: Final-year students can apply provisionally, provided they can provide proof of completing their graduation by 31.12.2024.

Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the State/UT for which they are applying. Proof of proficiency may be provided through the 10th or 12th-grade mark sheet.

Selection Process for SBI Clerk Recruitment

Phase I: Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Exam will consist of three sections:- English Language: 30 questions, 30 marks, 20 minutes
- Numerical Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks, 20 minutes
- Reasoning Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks, 20 minutes
Total: 100 questions, 100 marks, 1 hour duration.
There will be negative marking for incorrect answers (1/4th mark deducted per wrong answer).
Based on the Preliminary Exam scores, candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Exam.

Phase II: Main Examination
The Main Exam will include the following sections:- General/Financial Awareness: 50 questions, 50 marks, 35 minutes
- General English: 40 questions, 40 marks, 35 minutes
- Quantitative Aptitude: 50 questions, 50 marks, 45 minutes
- Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: 50 questions, 60 marks, 45 minutes
Total: 190 questions, 200 marks, 160 minutes.
There will be negative marking (1/4th of the marks for each wrong answer). - Candidates must meet the minimum percentage set by the bank. The final merit list will be based on Main Exam performance.

Test of Specified Opted Local Language
After provisional selection, candidates who have proof of studying the local language (10th or 12th standard certificate) will be exempt from the local language test. Otherwise, candidates will be required to take and pass the test before joining. Failure to pass the language test will result in disqualification.
Final Selection: The final selection will be based solely on the Main Exam scores. The marks from the Preliminary Exam will not be considered for final selection.
